I am finding it hard to completely potty train my 3 year old son. During the day, he does excellent, no accidents at all. But at nights I have to put pull-ups on him or he will *** the bed full. I try to let him go with out it but everytime I find that the bed is soaked. And surprisingly the wettness dont wake him up. How do I keep him from wetting the bed at night?

dont give him too much liquids after 6PM
You don’t. Just try not to give him fluids so late at night. Plus take him to the bathroom before bedtime. Try running water from the faucet to encourage him to go. But it’s a phase that will pass sooner or later.
Consult your family doctor.
For starters don’t give him anything before bedtime about an hour before or a bit more maybe, secondly take him to the bathroom before he goes to sleep. And remember they potty train after a few years of life so take it easy some of em need to keep using diapers during the night for a lil while so just be patient with him and keep putting pull ons at night ( diapers retain much more than pull ups ).
Also, you can try this product:
We used one for both our son and daughter, and things improved pretty quickly.
Other than that, just know that like all things, this too shall pass.
Sounds like he’s a deep sleeper! A lot of children that wet the bed are. The advice given so far is correct. Don’t let him have anything other than a small sip of water after two hrs. before bedtime. Also, his bladder may not be large enough yet to handle liquid through the night. This too is something that he will grow out of, but it could take a while. The other thing you could do, which I know, is a pain for you, is getting him up three or so hours after he goes to bed and have him use the bathroom. Good Luck!
We didn’t give fluids after tea-time. Made sure they went to the loo before they went to bed and also got them up at 11pm (when we went to bed) and took them to the loo – that worked great.
We then shifted the getting them up again earlier until we didn’t need to.
Also found that bribery (chocolate) worked wonders and had little sticker charts.
You can also get bed “nappies” that you can use after they get some success.
Don’t give up – they DO get there – just so important to not make an issue out of it – I believe in Germany that kids wear nappies for much longer – they simply don’t make an issue out of it – all children will get there eventually – you can always take a 3 month break and then try again….
Some kids are not fully trained until 9 yrs old. Try restricting his fluids after dinner, and also try waking him up sometime at night to go ***. Another thing I’ve heard suggested is to ask your child to wait a few minutes(3 to5)when they ask to go pee, it will get them to recognize the feeling of a full bladder, and help give them better control of the urge to go.
Make sure you always let him *** before he sleeps. Open a faucet because the sound of running water will aid this. ;p
i have the same proble with my sister she always wet the bed because we gave ger liquids to drink to help her sleep but soon she grew ou t of it so put on pull ups untill he grows out of it
dont worry.. you can get waterproof bedwetting sheets that are washable. Get some and let your child sleep on them, I found it helped with my son, he needed to feel the difference between sleeping on sheets and sleeping with a nappy. if you get up in the night take your child to the loo with you. if not set an alarm for every two hours. did this too and it got my boy into a rhythm of getting up. he is now gonna be 4 in june and gets up on his own and has no problems
IO DON’T KNOW
Nothing. Keep using pull ups at night. He’s only 3. He doesn’t have complete control yet. My son was totally trained during the day, never one accident, but he wore pull ups at night for 1 1/2 years. I asked our peditrician and he said that enuresis (bedwetting) is not diagnosed until after age of 5 when total bladder control is achieved. Praise him for his success during the day and don’t stress over the bedwetting at night.
let him wee before sleeping
