Do bedwetting alarms work in your experience?

LifeIsGrand asked:

When my son was in elementary school, he sometimes wet at night. I bought the bedwetting alarm and I’m not sure if it worked. Maybe he outgrew it and the timing was coincidental. Many seem to think that bedwetting alarms don’t work. Now I’m reading from a medical website that it works in three-fourths of children. Of course the kid has to really want to be dry but I think that it’s pretty high success rate. The website wasn’t selling a particular product neither. I got the link and the question of bedwetting alarms is about 2/3 the way down the page

My daughter is 6 and still wets the bed at night. The doctor suggests that we use a bed wetting alarm to train her. Have you ever used one for your child? Did it work? Any suggestions or input for me?

getting my son to use his alarm?

Glenda asked:

my 11 year old son is currently using a bedwetting alarm, in an attempt to reduce his nightime wetness. He has a hard time waking up, and he told me today he wants to stop using it and go back to wearing Goodnites to bed. I think he is too old and he needs to keep using it. What should i do?He really is just being lazy, he would rather soak a pullup than wake up and toilet

Where can I get a bedwetting alarm?

kyeann asked:

I’ve heard about bedwetting alarms but where do you get them? Do you have to get them from the doctor or can I buy one somewhere?
Sarah asked:

I have 2 kids that wet the bed, I really **** washing everyday, I do not put them in pull ups because they are just too expensive. We are thinking about getting a bedwetting alarm for my son since he is older. I have tried no liquids after dinner, no caffiene after 2pm, waking them an hr after they go to bed and every couple hrs at night, nothing has worked. Any advice would be helpful.
